Campus Community Garden at NC Central University
I served as the social media coordinator for the Campus Community Garden at North Carolina Central University from February 2021-February 2022. During that time, we revitalized the overgrown garden plot between the Mary Townes Science Building and BRITE and had a successful summer and fall planting season. Our organization garnered interest within and outside of the campus community, and we were able to provide free produce to the Durham community.
As the social media coordinator, I built the foundation for an inviting brand identity that fosters curiosity and community surrounding gardening. My visual and written communication skills invited a host of new volunteers and sparked numerous community partnerships.
