Princess J. (she/her) is a multidisciplinary storyteller based in Durham, NC.

  • Writing

In addition to obtaining her degree in English with a concentration in writing from North Carolina Central University, Princess has authored several published works including “How it Feels to be Colored Me”, “How Coco Lost Her Spots” and oK Magazine.

  • Photography

A relatively new manifestation of her creativity, Princess uses photography to meditate on the wonders of life (both big and small). Each image is a magical glimpse into the mundane.

  • Visual Arts

As a jack-of-most-mediums, Princess’ artwork is a dreamy realm nestled in the softness of nature, joy, and imagination. She often uses visual art as a means of self-reflection, manifestation, and emotional release.

  • Graphic Design & Marketing

With a combination of artistry, heart, and brains, marketing is an avenue that Princess uses to welcome and invite others into spaces. She has worked for North Carolina Central University’s Recreation and Wellness Department, Campus Community Garden, and Part & Parcel Durham.
